Getting Rid of Resonance

Pete De Danaan, our beloved Abyssal bar tender in our Exalted game, is meditating upon the affliction the Neverborn gave him. As he decided not to interfere with the course of life, he must somehow get rid of the urge for destruction and death inherent to his condition. For that matter, Pete is crafting a sand-art mandala every day which he destroys after completion. As he puts his own essence into the mandala, his urge for destruction is thus reduced.

It's been a least a week I was thinking about drawing Pete in his sort of "intimacy". I really had a hard time with 1), the perspective, and then the body details. But today was just fine... though I spent the whole day trying to get the details as right as possible.

It's also one my REAL first picture completely done with my Intuos3 6X8 tablet. I bought it last year and still didn't have the chance to really get use to it. I did a couple of crappy drawings with it, but I had to increase my drawing skills first on paper before being able to depict something right with the tablet. I am also getting used to its particularities.

By the way, Pete SHOULD be sexy. He is, he's hot, he's a lady's man... vampire, sorry. He!
